It was a momentous occasion, finally unveiling months of intense work and diligent planning behind the scenes - a state-of-the-art facility designed to better serve our clients and contribute to the success of our community.

Dedication Realized: Showcasing Our New Home

Our journey to this grand opening was fueled by a vision: to create a facility that perfectly embodies the elegance, innovation, and sophistication of the Genesis brand.

With the support of Gaydon Contractors and countless others, countless hours want into this extensive renovation, transforming every corner of the dealership. Every detail, from the pristine, open showroom to the refined client lounges, was meticulously executed.

Esteemed Voices Honoured Our Stage

The grand opening celebration was highlighted by the presence and inspiring words of several distinguished guests.

Deputy Mayor Sterling Lee delivered impactful remarks, highlighting how our new facility serves as a major contribution to the local economy. His words underscored our commitment to being a community landmark that nurtures growth and prosperity in Ajax.

We welcomed Eric Marshall, Director of Genesis Motors Canada, who captivated the audience with insights into the brand’s pioneering vision for luxury and performance on a global scale.

Ali Sobani, Manager of Dealer Development at Hyundai Motors Canada, discussed the meticulous planning and supervision that brought this intricate redesign to completion, ensuring our new facility perfectly met the world-class Genesis standards.

Finally, Nial Boatswain, Vice President of Dealer Operations at Drive Autogroup, delivered an inspiring message centered on the operational excellence and unwavering customer satisfaction that guides our team each and every day.

The Unveiling: Highlights of the Celebration

The evening's most anticipated moment was the official ribbon-cutting. Genesis Ajax Owner Jim Sullivan was joined by Deputy Mayor Lee, Eric Marshall, Ali Sobani, and Nial Boatswain to officially inaugurate this new chapter.

Guests were also thrilled by the spectacular reveal of the dynamic Genesis GV70 track car in the showroom—a bold reminder of the high-performance spirit engineered into every Genesis model. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the sophisticated sounds of the Uptown String Jazz Trio, setting a refined mood throughout the evening.

In a moment of cultural significance connecting our showroom to Genesis’ Korean roots, Ali Sobani presented us with a beautiful Moon Jar, a Korean artifact symbolizing purity and good fortune, which now holds a place of honour in our new facility.

Adding to the festivities, attendees enjoyed gourmet offerings from Food Dudes and a vibrant soundtrack spun by DJ Doobz. For a touch of fun, a photo booth sponsored by Visit Barbados was popular, and the excitement culminated in an amazing draw for a lucky guest to win a trip to Barbados!
